Sci-fi narrative game built in Unity

I developing everything in the game, with various asset packs and sounds to help in making the game seem polished.

 

This is the most complete project to date with it being completely done but with a few bugs still being contained within. Other than that, the game's narrative and visuals are at a level that I am proud of.

 

The project helped me learn about narrative aspects in 3D games and the spacial awareness that must be constant throughout development. This was for guiding a landscape and using various indicators to point the player in the right direction.

 

The level guides the player around, using lights in some areas and environmental assets in others. This could have been used more throughout, but as it is, the narrative comes across rather well.

 

I could have done more with the game and might return to it in the future to give it more features and expand on what is there. This would include aspects of the level itself as I feel that the player can lose themselves really quickly. Adding indicators in the UI of the player's location could have helped in dealing with this issue. Also, making the dialogue more believable and linking the logs together would have been a bigger priority, but as this was an early project, I underestimated the amount of time it would take for me to complete the level, so a lot of features were left off due to this miscalculation.
